Realty Corporation is a privately held firm with Real Estate investment and advisory activities in Europe and the United States. Combining intellectual curiosity, deep market knowledge, and decades-long relationships, we identify and execute investments transactions where we have steadfast conviction on delivering superior returns for our own balance sheet and for our co-investors.

Unlike other boutiques that limit themselves to specific countries or asset classes, we instead focus on opportunities for compelling Real Estate returns regardless of product type and geography. Our clear focus is on the top cities in Europe and the United States, where we have the firm belief that population dynamics, demographic shifts, trends in e-commerce, and the sharing/gig economy will have a profound impact on how we use Real Estate in the future. Investment Team

Jonathan Lurie Managing Partner

Jon is Realty’s Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer. He established the company in 2017 as his family office upon retiring from Blackstone, where he was a senior executive in the Real Estate group.

At Realty, Jon is responsible for the firm’s investment activities in both Real Estate and PropTech. He oversees the deployment of Realty’s balance sheet, and leads several of Realty’s key capital relationships, including co-investment and operating partner activities.

Jon gained extensive experience both in the boardroom, having served on the boards of Logicor, Office First (IVG), Songbird (Canary Wharf), Multi Corporation, TLG, Corestate, Round Hill Capital and GSW (now Deutsche Wohnen), as well as on the ground, leading the operational, corporate, and development strategy of over 25 billion euros of Real Estate from single assets to large portfolios. Over his career, he has bought, managed, and sold tens of millions of square meters of Real Estate across Europe. Key highlights include the creation of Logicor, Blackstone’s marquee logistics and industrial business, which grew to be the largest in Europe, and Multi Corporation, a distressed retail developer that was transformed into one of Europe’s largest retail asset management businesses, owning or managing more than 150 centers at its peak.

Through Realty Corporation, Jon currently serves as a senior adviser to McKinsey & Company, advising clients around the globe on their investment strategy and priorities.

Jon’s previous roles included serving as a managing director at Blackstone, an executive director at Goldman Sachs, and various investment and development positions at Tishman Speyer and Morgan Stanley.

He graduated with highest honors from Princeton University, and received an MBA with honors in Real Estate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Wiktor Karol Waligora Partner

Wiktor oversees Realty’s Real Estate and PropTech investment activities across Europe, including several key co-investor relationships. He also serves on the firm’s Management and Investment Committee.

Notable recent transactions include the acquisition and planned development of a serviced residential scheme in London, a student housing asset in Cracow, Poland, as well as several distressed debt acquisitions comprising transitional retail properties in the UK. In Proptech, his recent investments include a stake in PiLabs, Europe’s leading Proptech VC fund, as well as direct investments in VenueX, collaborating with online platforms such as Google and Apple Maps, and Houst, a third party management platform that services AirBnB hosts, among others.

Wiktor currently serves as a committee member of GRI Global Committee - Proptech, focusing on capitalizing on growth opportunities within the Proptech sector.

Prior to Realty, Wiktor gained Real Estate investment experience working on the underwriting and strategic asset management of multiple investment portfolios in Europe owned by Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunity Fund, through his role at Northdale in London. Previously, Wiktor worked at Blackstone’s retail investment platform, Multi Corporation, in a similar role covering central and eastern Europe. He also gained experience working at a Government-owned financial group, the Polish Development Fund.

Wiktor graduated with highest honors from IE Business School in Madrid, having also studied Real Estate Finance and Investment at the USC Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles.

Robert Friedrich Karde Managing Director

Robert leads the German business of Realty. He has 12 years of experience in the areas of Real Estate Investment, Asset Management and Structured Finance. At Realty, Robert is responsible for the German strategy as well as for sourcing, underwriting and execution of transactions for a number of JVs and investment management mandates from large institutional investors.

From 2011 to 2019, Robert has worked as a Director at Captiva (formerly Natixis Capital Partners) where he was responsible for all underwriting and strategic asset management activities of the company. Prior to that he gained experience at the commercial Real Estate lending division at DZHYP AG, one of Europe’s leading specialist Real Estate lending institutions, and in the Real Estate investment banking division of Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. AG & Co. KgaA.

Robert holds a Master of Real Estate Finance degree from the EBS Universität, Oestrich-Winkel, and a Master of Finance degree from the University of Amsterdam.

Thibault Weston Smith Principal

Thibault oversees Realty’s PropTech strategy and development. He is also responsible for growing the firm’s real estate investment activities across Europe and the US.

Thibault has 10 years of experience working in real estate investment on several continents. He previously worked for US based developer and real estate owner Tishman Speyer. He started as a financial analyst in Paris, France and then moved to Washington, D.C. where he was a senior director. Thibault held various roles in acquisitions, development management, asset management, investor relations and portfolio management. In addition, Thibault spearheaded innovation in the D.C. region and was for example responsible for the rollout of “ZO”, a new collection of amenities and services provided to Tishman Speyer tenants. He also worked for AXA IM – Real Assets and more recently, Thibault was the CFO of 14Trees based in Africa, a housing start-up accelerating the use of construction innovations in developing economies.

Thibault holds a Master of Science in Management Degree from ESSEC Business School in Paris, France. He specialized in finance and also graduated from ESSEC’s Real Estate Chair. Thibault is a native French and English speaker and has conversational knowledge of German and Spanish. Thibault is a Member of the RICS.

Ryan Pappas Senior Consultant

Ryan is responsible for the oversight, underwriting and transaction management of real estate restructurings & workouts, as well as investments in distressed & credit related investments.

With a 15+ year career in Real Estate, and a strong foundation in Real Estate finance & investment, Ryan has been through various economic cycles and has had a hand in all aspects of Commercial Real Estate and its asset classes.

Ryan was previously Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at Forum Partners, a Global Real Estate Investment Manager, where he served on the Executive Committee, Management Committee and Investment Committee. Prior to Forum Partners, Ryan was a Director at Credit Suisse where he oversaw the origination, underwriting and transaction management for the European Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group.

Ryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Blake Loveless Senior Consultant

Blake serves as a Senior Consultant to Realty Corporation, advising on Real Estate transactions in Europe and the United States.

In 2018, Blake founded Jackyl, a Real Estate investment manager and operating partner, focusing on all property types and return profiles, and specializes in delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns on Real Estate assets across Europe through active sourcing, asset management, and disposals. Since inception, Jackyl has deployed €600 million of transactions in London and Lisbon.

Blake is also the founder of Dominium, a prop-tech start-up focused on listing individual, institutional-grade Real Estate assets on the London Stock Exchange.

Before founding Jackyl and Dominium, Blake spent 12 years at the Real Estate private equity fund manager Meyer Bergman, where he was head of acquisitions and a member of the investment committee. During his tenure, he was involved in sourcing, executing and overseeing more than €4 billion of transactions across Europe.

Prior to joining Meyer Bergman, Blake worked in the banking and family office industries.

Blake is a Bahamian national and is based in London. He graduated with honors in International Economics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and is a CFA charter holder.

Jonathan Percy General Counsel

Jon is Realty Corporation’s General Counsel, advising management on legal, regulatory and operational matters, as well as assisting on transaction and contract negotiations and structuring.

Jon is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, and over the last seven years has worked in-house with businesses in a variety of sectors, with particular focus on property, tech and private equity.

Jon trained and qualified as a corporate lawyer with Norton Rose Fulbright, working on a wide variety of corporate legal transactions across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and public and private company work.

He graduated from the University of York with a degree in English, and from BPP Law School in London with commendation in the Graduate Diploma in Law, and distinction in the Legal Practice Course. He is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Kursad Arman Proptech Venture Partner

Kursad serves as a Venture Partner to Realty Corporation. He founded VenueX bringing indoor maps, business data and in-store inventory online to drive foot traffic to stores and venues.

With 15 years experience, Kursad has a strong foundation and an expansive international network in PropTech and RetailTech. As a serial entrepreneur, Kursad strives at developing new products that move the physical businesses to digital. He spent the first 5 years of his career leading sales and business development at V-Count, an innovative company that measures footfall. He later founded KNS, which has been providing digitalization solutions for 100+ shopping centers in 7 countries to date.

Kursad graduated with a Bachelor of Science from METU, a leading technical university in Turkey. He is fluent in English and Turkish.

Viktor Persson Vice President

Viktor is responsible for financial analysis of several pan-European portfolios as well as supporting Realty’s advisory activities with McKinsey.

He has prior experience working as a Management Consultant and in the Quantitative Advisory division for EY. Prior to that he worked with Mergers & Acquisitions in the Investment Banking division for Danske Bank.

He studied Finance and graduated with highest honors from IE Business School in Madrid.

Maximilien Michel Senior Associate

Maximilien is responsible for acquisitions across the firm's initiatives, and additionally supports the sourcing of transactions in Europe and the US.

Maximilien gained experience with the investment team of KKR, executing various industrial and real estate acquisitions across Europe. He formerly worked as a Private Equity Associate at Europa Capital Partners in the Value-Add fund. Maximilien has prior experience in the Mergers & Acquisitions team of BNP Paribas where he supported Shurgard in its €600m IPO on Euronext as well as Sociéte de la Tour Eiffel on its €1.7bn merger with Affine.

Maximilien is a French national with a MSc in Finance and studied in both Bocconi University and SKEMA Business School, in Milan and Paris.

Heinz Hartweger Investment Associate

Heinz is responsible for strategic asset management and financial analysis of multiple portfolios managed by Realty, in particular in Germany and Spain.

He gained private equity experience while working on distressed assets in the special situations team of AURELIUS and on growth investments following buy&build strategies while working for AUCTUS.

Previously, Heinz worked in the strategy group of the deal advisory department at KPMG, focusing on commercial due diligence reports for the buy and the sell side. Prior to that, he attained Real Estate exposure while working on a mixed-used asset and multi-family residential project for Grupo Villar Mir.

Heinz graduated with honors from IE Business School and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Ziad Sobh Investment Analyst

Ziad is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and preparing investment documentation marketing materials, in addition to the project management of acquisitions for various Real Estate transactions across Europe as well as supporting Realty advisory activities with Mckinsey.

Ziad gained Real Estate experience after starting his career raising capital from the Middle East and North America for a Pan-European emerging Real Estate focused fund across the different strategies.

Ziad holds a master’s in Management and an undergraduate degree in Finance from the American Business School in Paris.

Pierce Hickey Investment Analyst

Pierce is responsible for financial analysis of multiple portfolios and pan-European market research. Pierce also supports the investment and management of Realty's PropTech ventures, as well as Realty’s advisory activities with McKinsey.

Pierce previously worked in strategy consulting at Cairneagle Associates, where he supported private equity clients in evaluating transactions as well as advising corporate clients in their pursuit of new revenue streams.

Pierce holds a Master’s in Management from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London.

Leif Skogland Associate

Leif is responsible for the analysis and underwriting of European investment transactions. He also supports Realty's distressed and credit related investments.

He has experience across a variety of use types in the U.K., Spain, and Portugal as an integral part of the acquisitions team at Jackyl, an operating partner for pan-European Real Estate transactions. He served as a member of the deal team for each of Jackyl's transactions totalling over €500M. He also supports a prop-tech initiative seeking to democratize the ownership of Real Estate globally.

Leif is a Canadian national with a BSc (Hons) in the Logic and Philosophy of Science and Statistics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Jacob Ling-Vannerus Investment Analyst

Jacob is responsible for strategic asset management, investor reporting, and preparation of investment documentation across Western Europe as well as supporting Realty’s advisory activities with McKinsey.

He has prior experience working at Beconfident International, managing risks through strategic planning, business acquisitions and continues serving Beconfident as a board member.

Jacob graduated with awards from Barney Barnett School of Business and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Southern College.

Sergio Nuehrmann Investment Analyst

Sergio is responsible for the analysis and underwriting of pan-European investment transactions with a particular focus on the Iberian region.

He has experience working in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley and BNP Paribas. Prior to that he interned with Realty Corporation throughout his freshman and junior years at University. Sergio has native fluency in German, Spanish, Portuguese and English.

He studied Politics and Economics at Harvard University, Accounting at MIT Sloan School of Management, and graduated from IE Business School in Madrid.

Ebrahim Sarrafnia Investment Analyst

Ebrahim is responsible for financial analysis of multiple portfolios and pan-European market research. Ebrahim also supports the investment and management of Realty's PropTech ventures, as well as Realty’s advisory activities with McKinsey.

His previous experience included having worked as a Business Analyst, supporting acquisition and strategic initiatives.

He holds a Bachelor’s with honours in Business Management, as well as a Master’s in Management degree with a focus on Corporate Finance and graduated with highest honours from UCL (University College London).
